About
Nestled in the heart of Pine City, Minnesota, Mia's Cafe is a charming little haven that radiates warmth and camaraderie. Located at 255 Main St S, this privately owned establishment is more than just a cafe; it's a delightful journey into hearty comfort food, where friendly faces and fast service await you.
The cafe has been garnering praise from locals and visitors alike. Reviews highlight the inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. Customer Louis Thompson expressed his appreciation for the cafe’s welcoming vibe, noting that the staff embodies the essence of small-town friendliness. He emphasized the joy of supporting a veteran-owned business, which resonates deeply with patrons seeking a connection to their community.
Mia's Cafe excels in the breakfast game. Diners rave about the steak and eggs special and the cheese omelet, with Cheryl Taylor declaring both dishes were "very good" and reasonably priced. The biscuits and sausage gravy have even been touted as comparable to those found in the southern U.S., marking a culinary triumph for a cafe in Pine City. And let’s not forget the giant pancake; diners describe it as light and fluffy, perfectly complementing a morning meal.
However, it’s not just the food that keeps guests coming back. Customer Nicola Kapala noted that the nostalgia-inducing service adds to the delightful dining experience, making it easy to understand why Mia's Cafe is thriving in their small-town community.
While the food and atmosphere shine, it’s worth mentioning that the pace of service can occasionally lag, as noted by Kim Shaver, who found her breakfast took longer than expected. This could be an area for improvement as they continue to grow.
Overall, if you’re in the Pine City area and crave a cozy, veteran-owned cafe with comforting dishes and a friendly atmosphere, look no further than Mia's Cafe. It's a spot where community and quality come together to create not just meals, but memories.

“ Really fast and friendly service. The slaw burger was good. ”
“ I found this place by searching cafes in the are of North Branch to Pine City. I enjoy private owned businesses rather than large corporate owned. Went on Sunday morning for breakfast. Walked in staff was very inviting and in a small town way they were amazing in service and being friendly. The food was served fast and hot, great flavor and plated nicely. Met all requirements of a privately owned location. When checking out noticed a signed. VETERAN OWNED and that was just the thing that really made the day and drive worth it, to know was supporting a Veteran that made our Freedom possible. I will be back and if you want a great place and want to show support to a Veteran stop in and chdck out their amazing food and service. ”
“ My husband had the steak and eggs special and I had the cheese omelet. Both were very good. Prices very reasonable. Staff was very friendly. Will come back. ”
“ Great to see a small town cafe thriving and with good reason. My southern breakfast companion said the biscuits and sausage gravy were as good as any he’s had in the south. The giant pancake was light and fluffy and the Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. Don’t forget your cash as they don’t take credit cards. And the service is nostalgia inducing small town friendly. ”
“ The food was hot and tasted good, but with so few people in the place, most already had their food, why did it take over a half hour to get pancakes, bacon and French toast? ”
“ Been coming here for years. Always great. Can’t beat the 9.99 steak, eggs, hash browns and toast. Very busy and food still came fast, hot and tasty. Huge portions. All the staff were very friendly and our server Kathy was outstanding. Highly recommend ”
“ Service was fast & friendly. Food was very good. I had the Loaded Hash browns. Portion was big and well priced. I couldn’t finish it all and took 1/2 home. Coffee was great too! We’ll be back! ”
“ The service was outstanding. I really like these small town places. Unlike a lot of places in Minneapolis, no one was rude, the food came out on time, and everything was delicious. The waitress checked on us multiple times and took care of the refills and such. My only complaint is that the parking is basically street only and it was very busy when we got here. ”
